All sales are final. We strive to maintain a healthy herd and all animals tested CAE negative as of June 2021. We also make sure all animals are healthy before leaving for their new homes. Once an animal leaves our farm we are no longer responsible for anything that may happen to the animal. A health certificate can be acquired at the buyer’s expense for $40 through our veterinarian.
All kids will be disbudded, vaccinated, and tattooed before leaving the farm, unless otherwise stated.
If you do not already own goats, we suggest you read this article on things to consider before getting goats. We will not sell a single goat and require that you buy at least two. Goats are herd animals. They generally do not do well alone. “An only goat is a lonely goat”. A lonely goat will let you know it, and no one will be happy. Wethers (neutered/castrated boys) make great companion animals for both does and bucks as they are inexpensive and low maintenance.
registration
Registerable goats will either be registered before leaving or come with an application to be registered.
Our primary registry for Nigerian Dwarf goats is the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). Some may also be registered with the American Goat Society (AGS). Goats that are registered through ADGA are registerable with AGS and/or NDGA with the appropriate paperwork and at the buyers discretion.
Deposits
We do not accept paid reservations on kids prior to their birth, but if there is a particular breeding you are interested in, you can contact us to add your name to the waiting list free of charge. After kids are born and we evaluate who we want to keep, we will contact those on the waiting list to offer the available kids in order of who contacted us first. If none of the people on the list want that particular kid, he or she will be added to the sale page and offered to the general public.
A non-refundable 50% deposit will hold the animal for up to 2 weeks while pick up arrangements are being made. The balance remainder can be paid in cash, PayPal or Venmo at time of pick up. If using a transport, the animal must be paid for in full before it can leave our farm. It is the buyer’s responsibility to stay in touch with us. If we do not hear from you after your 2 week deposit period is over, we reserve the right to offer said animal for sale again. If a deposit has been put on an animal and the buyer backs out, there is no refund of monies paid in.
If for any reason, after the deposit is made, the goat becomes sick or injured the deposit will be refunded.
We reserve the right to retain a goat at any time during the sales process. We also reserve the right to sell goats to what we feel are the best homes based on management and care. Deposits will be refunded for these reasons.
Payments
We accept check, cash, Paypal, and Venmo payments for deposits and the remaining balance in cash, Venmo or PayPal at pick up unless other arrangements have been made. NO CHECKS at pick up.
Shipping/Pickup/Delivery
All animals must be picked up at our farm unless prior arrangements have been made. Please do NOT bring other animals with you to pick up.
We can ship nationwide out of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport . There is a $20 fee if shipped out of DFW to cover cost of gas to the airport. Please be sure to check with your state veterinarian to see what type of health certificate or testing is required to import a goat into your state from Texas. Any and all costs associated with shipping or transportation, including any health certificates and related testing, are the responsibility of the buyer.
We will gladly deliver your kids to any show that we are attending, free of charge.
If you or a designated ground shipper plan to pick up your goat at the farm please make sure to bring a crate or trailer that is the correct size for the animal’s comfort. We recommend at least a 24” dog crate to accommodate an adult Nigerian Dwarf or up to 2 kids. Two adults will fit in the 36” crate. Lining the crate with wood shavings or straw will keep the animals dry & comfortable for their trip home.
