Deck the Stalls Nigerian Show Results

We attended our first Nigerian only show in Brenham, TX on December 5, 2020. Deck the Stalls was super fun, although it was crazy running back and forth with our 5 junior does and 4 senior bucks and no other breeds to give us down time. There were over 450 entries total (split among 3 rings), with 70 junior does and 47 bucks competing.

We made the decision to not clip any of our goats, due to the super cold weather last week. Most of the goats at the show were clipped, so our goats did not show their best. We didn’t want to risk them getting sick though and need stalls in the barn for kids being born soon!

Daphne and Emmett showed in PeeWee Showmanship to start off the day, and Daphne won! Judge Will Pearson said she moved around the ring with such grace and has a real future ahead of her.

Here are our top placings:

  • MerryTale RP Solo won Reserve Champion under Will Pearson and was 1st place in his big class of yearling bucks
  • MerryTale RP Ahsoka Tano won 1st place in the 9-12 month class with over 30 does in the class
  • Carrheart BM Indigo Rain was 2nd place in the 3-6 month class
  • Lost Valley CC Red Man *B was 2nd place x2 in the 2 year old buck class
  • Viva TC Lyanna Stark was 4th place in a big 6-9 month class
  • Brazos Valley HP Hutch *B was 4th place in the yearling buck class
